consultants follows the E-Business Suite Upgrade Methodology, which
begins with a critical functional and technical assessment. During
this process, client customizations are evaluated for portability to
the new platform and potential replacement by new-version standard
functionality. We then create an upgrade "playbook," which is
validated through multiple "test" upgrades to ensure a seamless
migration path, and establish the required "blackout" period for the
production upgrade.
Once the new version is implemented,
we conduct extensive testing using client- or EMAK -created
functional test scripts. Throughout the process, clients are trained
on the new version functionality, which allows end users to
effectively assimilate the changes. As with all of our projects,
EMAK consulting focuses on quality, knowledge transfer and process
